Drought in the western United States (U.S.) made a lot of cities in the country's superpower following the lifestyle of drinking water sewer. It is like "toilet to tap home channel".
Big Spring, Texas, USA, to build refinery wastewater into drinking water worth U.S. $ 13 million early next year. This refinery will produce 7,570,823 liters of water a day from domestic wastewater.
According to experts, this kind of refining is not new. "Refining is very natural and to be an effective solution when no other resources available," said civil and environmental engineering professor David Sedlak at the University of California, Berkeley.
"We recognize the country's population moving to the west and as climate change continues further reducing water supplies, this will be a serious problem" he continued.
Texas Refinery will provide drinking water Big Spring and three nearby communities, Stanton, Midland and Odessa.
"This allows us to use 100 percent of the water there," said GM's Colorado River Municipal Water District John Grant.
He said as quoted by UPI, the responses of residents in this water is "I will not drink this water up why not do this sooner?"
